Orthodox Homeschool Connection

A national network of Orthodox homeschool co-ops.

Orthodox Christian families shouldn't have to compromise their faith, values, or worldview in order to educate their children within a community.

We exist to change that.

To give Orthodox families across the nation a faithful place to belong, grow, and educate their children together in the life of the Church.

This is our mission.

Our Approach

We establish and connect local Orthodox homeschool co-ops, bringing families together around two pillars: a shared morning Orthodox rhythm and a flexible learning time chosen by each family.

Morning Orthodox Rhythm

Each gathering begins with a peaceful, prayerful rhythm that helps children grow familiar with the Divine Liturgy and the life of the Church.

Opening Prayer
We start by quieting our hearts before God.

Hymns & Prayers of the Divine Liturgy
Children learn the fixed hymns of the Liturgy in their proper order — the Beatitudes, Entrance Hymn, Trisagion, Cherubic Hymn, Creed, and more.

Saint of the Week
We read the saint’s life, discuss their virtues, and do a hands-on activity to help the teaching come alive.

Orthodox Rhythm Closing Prayers & Icon Veneration
We end with Psalm 50/51, the dismissal prayer, and venerating icons.

Family-Led Learning Time

After the Morning Orthodox Rhythm, families move into a flexible learning block where chapters support their community and homeschool goals.

Freedom in Homeschool Style
Families remain completely free in how they homeschool. The co-op provides fellowship and collaboration—a place where parents can share ideas, explore curriculum options, joint-plan activities and support one another in their children’s education.

Parent-Led Participation
Families choose what comes next - relaxed fellowship, field trips, structured lessons, enrichment opportunities (guest speakers, experiments, wildlife presentations, creative projects, etc.).

Chapter-Provided Enrichment
Chapters may offer optional enrichment such as science demonstrations, cultural presentations, nature studies, hands-on projects, etc. Parents decide freely whether these chapter activities fit their family’s homeschool plans.
